Mar 28, 2012 · Hi Guys, Went to look at a car with a mate from work today for his daughter, was a Grande Eleganza on an '08 plate with the semi-auto gearbox. Had it out for a drive and the gearbox seemed to work quite well in both auto and sequential modes. Didn't get the car in the end anyway as it had some bad bodywork repairs on the rear quarter and tailgate.
Apr 5, 2020 · The dash panel lights up as normal, but on turning the key to the start position there is no action, and cannot hear a click of the starter relay. 1] Checked battery cleaned terminals and cables. 2] Replaced battery with a new one from my son’s car. 3] Removed battery, battery tray and checked the various earth points and cables.

If they are loose or corroded, it acts as a barrier that can keep the starter from getting the voltage it needs to crank the engine.

Jan 10, 2015. #1. i recently got a grande punto, the eml is/was on. it would run fine for 50 miles or so then cut out and not rev past 2000, but taking the battery off then on would reset it. then i thought it could be the throttle body so took it off and changed it, it then wouldn't reset at all. the eml code says it is a throttle pedal

Apr 7, 2009 · It seems there is a burst pipe between the clutch master and slave cylinder. Garage has never seen this before apparently. Still ongoing, cost £40 just to get the car recovered to the garage. It was a sudden failure, pulling into my drive and changing gear the pedal just hit the bulk head and stayed there.

When I initially turn on the ignition a type of computer language writing comes on the screen but then goes off. The back light on the screen is still on but nothing else.

This always clears with an engine restart and does not get progressively worse; I suspect this is quite different from the OPers problem.

After the 25+ degree day we had here, the check engine light came on and I notice the temperature gauge wasn't moving on the dash as well as the car just didn't seem to be a 'nippy'. Fit clip to wiring loom, NOT related in anyway to resistor/connector failure. 5397 - Lower steering shaft Check of bolt torque setting, NOT connected to ANY power steering issues. Known faults/issues; It is recommended that the vehicle is VUMhle.
